Additive Manufacturing of Three-dimensional Surfaces

The three-dimensional additive manufacturing will be extended in such a way that metallic 3D microstruc-tures can be printed directly. Based on preliminary work, novel photoresists will be developed that enable direct photochemical reduction from metal salts. The resulting nanoparticles agglomerate and are sintered by means of a second laser. For the first time, this process can extend the established additive production of metals on the macroscale to the microscale. Such structures are investigated for their microstructure, their mechanical and tribological properties.
